Beehive Membership: Terms, Conditions & Member Agreement



Thank you for becoming a Beehive Member, we really do appreciate you wanting to support us, both as a charity and as a business. By becoming a Beehive Member, you’re joining the family, and we’re so happy to have you in the gang.


Here are the terms, conditions and the agreement between you and us. If you have any questions, queries or would like to get in touch for any reason, we’d love to hear from you, just drop us a message via our contact form.

Your Membership is with The Beehive Ashford: Located at: 1-3 North Street, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8JN. Telephone Number: 01233 421292.

Your Membership begins on the date of payment, and will be renewed yearly on the same date. You have the right to change your mind and have a full refund if you contact us within 7 days of your membership beginning. We will send you a reminder email to renew your membership. If you do not renew your membership, all perks and offers will no longer be accessed by you. (Which would be very sad.) Your renewal fee will remain the same as when you first became a member and will not increase unless you forfeit the membership and return at a later date (more than 28 days after your membership has lapsed), in which case if the Beehive Membership offer has increased in cost, you will restart your membership at the current cost on the date you restart.

Current membership at The Beehive (correct as of July 2021), is £12/year (£8/yr for our Founding Members).

Your membership includes:

  1. A Membership Card (made from recycled plastic, because we love the world and want to keep it safe!) given to you with your personal barcode. This Membership Card is yours to keep and look after. If it is lost, and you need a replacement card, you will be asked (very lovingly) to pay a £2 replacement fee. If your card breaks, you can bring it in and swap it for a shiny new one for free! If the barcode gets a bit worn out you can have a brand new barcode sticker, no worries, no fee! (Your membership card can also be used to include gift aid on any donations you give us too. It doubles as your donation card.)

  2. 2 Free Merch stickers of your choice, as a gift from us to you. (And 1 A5 Exclusive Print for our Founding Members) on day of sign up!

  3. You will have a one-off 15% discount (30% off for our Founding Members) from your total bill on the day of membership sign-up… (needless to say, this can’t be cashed in for physical money and only happens that once!)

  4. You will get 5 loyalty points for every £1 you spend in store (this only changes if we have a special offer of more shiny points!) 1 point = 1p to take off your shopping. You can redeem these points at any time. (But you cannot cash in the points for physical monetary value, only money off shopping & cafe items. And points do not apply to our online merchandise, only merchandise purchased in store.) Points given or taken off, can only happen on presentation of your membership card at checkout. (If you forget your card, it is your responsibility to inform our team on checkout, of your membership, and they can manually find your unique barcode with contact details that you will need to provide them with.)

  5. You are fully entitled to use cafe loyalty cards alongside your membership to collect stamps and free coffees, but no points can be claimed on free coffees from those or any other offer!

  6. You will receive monthly emails with an offer just for our members. To receive these emails you must remain subscribed to our members email via MailChimp, our newsletter provider. If you unsubscribe from these emails, you’ll still be a member and will still be entitled to use the current offers, however, you won’t know what’s going on and what’s available…On sign up you will be asked to provide contact details and confirm if you would like to receive emails, if you opt to not receive emails, that’s ok.. But remember that you won’t receive your exclusive offers. You can change your decision either way, at any point….Your details will be kept by us at The Beehive Ashford- but we are part of a bigger organisation (Pneuma Church, formerly known as Ashford Vineyard) and so store our data safely together. However, we promise we won’t contact you about anything other than your Beehive Membership, Beehive News, and offers and rewards available to you unless you’ve specifically opted in for other updates. We won’t sell or give away your contact details to anyone else outside of The Beehive Ashford & Pneuma Church. If you would like more details about how your data is stored and used, please do get in touch!

  7. You will be invited to Members Only Events each year. Your invitation to those will arrive via email (so the above information about emails and unsubscribing, counts for this too!)

  8. You will also be sent Early Bird Access to other events including Hub workshops, and will have a limited time to claim tickets first, with a discount, before they’re opened up to the general public. You do not get points for ticket purchases, and cannot use your points to discount your tickets, but you’ll get some good discounts without points! (These will also arrive via email. Above-above about unsubscribing counts for this too!)

  • We reserve the right to change the perks and benefits at any point, but we promise it will only be to make membership better, not worse. We will contact you with full details before any changes are made. IF for any reason, those changes are not happy ones for you please get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to make you smile again- but we can’t ALWAYS guarantee that everyone will be happy 100% of the time, and so it’s all at our discretion.

  • We know you’re super lovely, and we are very happy that you’re a member with us, but… we really don’t tolerate any abusive behaviour at our little Beehive home; towards any Beehive team members, clients or customers for ANY reason, and we will protect them all like the Mama Bears we are. We are a place of safety and joy, and we reserve the right to terminate any Beehive Membership without refund if you break our respect and trust at any time. But we’re sure you won’t, because you’re awesome…right?

  • By signing up to be a Beehive Member, you’re saying YES, I AGREE to all of the above. (And we are too! It’s a friendly contract that goes both ways.) If you read this after the fact and realise you don’t agree at all… You have 7 days from your sign-up date to change your mind and have a full refund for your membership and we’ll part ways with no bad feelings.
